What makes your blog different than all the others?
We have an affinity for fashion and we want to share our knowledge. There are a lot of other fashion blogs out there, but we wanted to gear ours to every girl in any job and every body shape. Fashion is something that should be fun, not stressful and we want to show you how you can enjoy it no matter what size or shape you are.
What are your full time jobs?
We work for a big mutual fund company based world wide. Since we're located in sunny Southern California, we're lucky to be able to have more of a business casual work environment.
How do you find such great deals?
One of the greatest shopping tools is the Internet. If we find a pair of awesome shoes, we will Google them first to see where they are cheapest. Usually Zappos.com has the best deals plus free overnight delivery. Just because the price tag is expensive in the store doesn't mean you'll never be able to buy it.
Also, a lot of stores such as JCrew and Banana Republic have sales online rather than in store. Figure out the cycle of your favorite store; know when they rotate seasons. When a store is rotating out of one season and into the next, they almost always have a killer sale. Don’t be afraid of consignment stores, they are full of hidden treasures!
What are your sizes?
Holly: I'm 5'8 and wear a size 2 or 4 depending on the store. I have broad shoulders, so I usually wear 1-2 sizes up in shirts without much give and then have them tailored to fit my waist. I wear a size 9.5 shoe. I have longer legs and a shorter torso, so all my pants have to be a "tall" and most of those are only available online.
Shawntel: I’m 5’9” and have an elongated hourglass shape. Depending on the store I wear a 2-8…don’t pay attention to what the tag says! It’s all about how it fits! I have a long torso and shorter legs for my height. I have issues with dresses fitting the length of my torso, finding tops that show my 25” waist while accommodating my bust, and pants fitting my curvy thighs and small waist. I wear a size 7.5 shoe.
